This book is a joke, a witch hunt and a over reach of power. This is why I am at times embarassed to say I am a Knight.
People reading this not all Knights are as a ridgid joke as what was described in this book. But a lot of the old timers are this way, there way or the highway. I am a Knight a younger Knight in other words I still have a long time before retirement. I don't believe in gay marriage or abortions. This is because of my good Catholic upbringing. I believe if you do it you are commiting a sin and that is wrong. But I will not judge you because the bible tells me not too. I will pray for you like the bible tells me too simce you are lost and that is as far as I will over reach to all my brothers and sisters Catholic or not.
I will never vote for a law that will enforce my religious views on you abortion or marraige or of any sort. I strongly beleive the US's laws are under attack be religious right wing nuts. This country was founded on my religious views will not be forced upon no one else more so those that don't share my views. So I as a Knight support you abortion and marriage rights because tomorrow I don't want you to force you beliefs on me.
This book shows the warp views the Knights have that the only way to do God's work is by enforcing a law. They forget there are other religions out there that are against blood transfussions, are for arranged marriages and are for multiple partner marriages. God forbid one day one of those religions rises to power will it be ok for them to enforce those laws on us? No. A good read for people to see that the religion is dead set on controlling laws, funny thing is that we tried that once before. Then the US was formed religious freedom, they have no business in our laws. I want you to follow my Catholic ways because you found it to be right not because the law of the land forced you to obedience. I guess I just caused scandal also I should be removed from the Knights also!
The book sucks cause how it shows the Knights of Columbus but great read for everyone else who is trying to maintain religious freedoms. Take this book serious this is how they treat their own, this is a glimps of Catholic rule our way or the highway or in jail if they get their way.
While I would urge anybody thinking of even bringing up such a complaint to be a third degree Knight first, I also urge every Grand Knight to read this important book on the use of section 171.
